Get
your CMOSedu account from Dr. Baker.
Read
the Manual on
CMOS.edu and follow the steps to edit web page.
Lab
Report:
Go
through first part of the Tutorial
1 and edit webpage: 1) showing some images (screenshots) with simple
coherent narrative, and 2) discuss how will I backup
my future labs.
On the first day of the
lecture, Dr. Baker walked us through each steps to set up the cadence account.
However, the following steps weren’t covered during
the lecture period but Dr. Baker mentioned that we need to delete the following
files (divaDRC.rul, divaEXT.rul
and divaLVS.rul) and replace them with diva_rul_files.zip.
The new divaDRC.rul,
divaEXT.rul and divaLVS.rul
files were added.
After installing all the
necessary files, start Cadence’s Virtuoso and build a schematic
as shown in the Tutorial 1.
Draw the schematic using
buttons and also using short-cut keys and exploring different tools and
options. Get familiarize with layout of the program and follow the steps
closely.
After drawing the schematics,
run the simulation and check for errors.
I will primarily edit the web
page using WORD and saving them to my desktop and transfer the page to CMOSedu by using Windows Explorer.
Once I’m finished with the lab
report, I’ll zip the whole folder and email it to myself for
a back up and have access to other computers.
