This is a picture from the
UNLV Science and Engineering Building Clean Room. As part of my EE450L -Solid State Characterization Laboratory, we spent
several weeks fabricating a PN-Junction Diode. This
was one of the most enjoyable labs I have participated in during my time at
UNLV. Thank you to Dr. Subba Kodigala
for walking us through the fabrication process. The image displayed to the
right is our P-type wafer sitting in hydrofluoric acid (HF) during fabrication.
The pictures below are two of the laboratory
areas inside the cleanroom along with some proprietary equipment belonging to
one of UNLV's Solid State professors.
