Lab description

 Pre-lab work-1

1. Created account by using my e-mail address from Dr. Baker e-mail address.

2. Review the material of tutorial for students editing webpages, and read the entire write-up page, then i submit it.

3. From the book Figs. 1.21, 1.22, and 1.24, simulate those figs by using L Tspice and verified the simulation results with hand calculations.

Discussions of Fig. 1.21:

First, calculated by hand and bulid up the RC circuit in  Figure 1.21.

the result of hand calculation as follows

a. the output voltage = Vout=Ving*[(1/jwC)/(1/jwC+R)]=622V

b. the magnitude of equation=|Vout/Vin|=[(1/(1+2*pi*f*RC)^2)]=0.622mV

c. phase of equation=-tan-(2*pi*f*RC)=-0.89radians

also, changing R in circuit from 1k to 10k ohms, will causes the amplitude to reeducing and the time delay becomin longer

Discussions of Fig. 1.22:

First, calculated by hand and bulid up the RC circuit in Figure 1.22.

the tesult of hand calculations as follows

a. the magnitude of equation=|(1+jwRC1)^2/(1+jwR(C1+C2))^2|=0.61

b. the phase of equation= [-tan-(2*pi*f*RC1)-tan-(2*pi*f*R(C1+C@))]=-0.12radians

fig1.22.JPG

Discussions of Fig. 1.24:

First, calculated by hand and bulid up the RC circuit in Figure 1.24.

a. simulation results as forllwos

fig1.24.JPG

also, changing or increasing resistance can make the time delay the rising or falling time longer.

Post Lab work-1

Goal: goal of this lab is to developing our knowledge of characteristics of RC circuits and see different results with simulation and hand clalculatios.

Equipment used

a. power supply

b. wire, resistor, and capacitor

c. breadboard

d. oscilloscope

Indeed, the result have some slide different results, however by changing the values can see the effect of the circuits.
