Calculator Usage

Specify the Desired Resistance and Sheet Resistance and one of the following width input options may be made:

 

1.   Specify  in µm

The output will be the minimum geometry ratio, divisible by  in µm, that will produce a resistance closest to the specified Desired Resistance.

 

2.     Specify Desired Width

The output will be the Desired Width and length that will result in a resistor with the specified Desired Resistance

 

3.   Specify  in µm and Desired Width

The output will be a geometry, divisible by  in µm, that will produce a resistance closest to the specified Desired Resistance. Where the width is the closest to the specified Desired Width while still being divisible by  in µm.

 

Regarding Calculations Made by the Calculator

The resistance of a resistor is given by the following formula:

Where  is the sheet resistance of your material,  is the length of the resistor, and  is the width of the resistor.
