Lab description

1. First I will use MobaXterm to login via secure shell (ssh) to the UNLV Cadence System server:

Then I created a new library from the Library Manager and named it "Tutorial_1" and attached an existing tech library named "AMI 0.60u C5N"

This will add a DEFINE line within the cds.lib file in the CMOSedu directory.

Then a cell named "R_div" has been created in which a schematic of a voltage divider has been designed using the NCSU_Analog_Parts (res, gnd, vdc)

After checking and saving the voltage divider schematic, the next step is to launch ADE L. Within ADE L, I had to make sure the underSetup->Simulator/Directory/Host that Spectre had been turned on by default prior to starting the simulation.

Prior to running Netlist and Run, I had to ensure to save the state by clicking Session->Save State and seleting Cellview. This will be able to save the current state of the schematic for later use. After that, we can click on the green button "Netlist and Run"

The output should look like this with Vin and Vout selected:

2) To ensure that the lab assignments have been backed up periodically,  first I will download/compress the files that were saved via MobaXterm, I downloaded the Tutorial_1 file onto my Desktop.

After downloading the Tutorial_1 file into the Lab1 folder in my desktop then I make sure to copy my local Lab1 into my CMOSedu server Lab1 folder to make sure everything saved.

Then I will compress the file (.zip) and e-mail the corresponding lab1.zip with the date of when it was last edited/altered to ensure I have a backed up copy.
