Lab Description

To become familiar with Cadence

1) Using Xterm, I completed up to the 25th image of Tutorial 1

After downloading the NCSU Cadence Design Kit and completing the initial setup of creating a working environment, I started Virtuoso.

Inside of the Tutorial_1 library, a new cell was created to create a new schematic.

Below is a picture of the completed schematic using two 10k resisters and a 1 DC voltage source.

Upon completing the schematic, Spectre was used to simulate the operation of the circuit.

A transient analysis was used, and the signals to plot were chosen.

Below is a picture of the simulation result.

2) How I will backup my labs

While I am editing the htm files locally, I will always have my files backed up onto my student drive.

After finishing the lab report, I will back up all the files to my Dropbox.
